In collaboration with FakeScape, we created a full-on training experience filled with games, workshops and real challenges. In the heart of the Czech countryside, young people from across Europe came together to dive into the digital jungle: How do you spot fake news? Why do people fall for conspiracies? And how can we make media literacy actually engaging?
We played escape and board games, became journalists for a day, and created our own educational tools. It wasn’t about listening – it was about doing, experimenting, and learning through action.
The goal? Not just to boost participants' media literacy, but to empower them to take what they learned and share it in their schools, communities and online spaces. Each participant designed their own anti-disinformation project – and got the support to make it real.
Escape Fake News proved that learning can be creative, bold and fun. And that even in an age of misinformation, there’s power in truth – especially when it’s shared.
